The Masonic charitable foundation giving opportunities the opportunity to make a lasting impact on those who are in need. The foundation funds projects that enhance opportunity, advance healthcare and education, provide for children and families and aid those impacted by natural disasters and other tragedies. The Foundation also provides support for individual Freemasons and their families through two different types of relief grants.
The Foundation supports Masonic Lodges in their community betterment efforts through a Community Betterment Matching Grant program sponsored by the Foundation. This program helps a Lodge raise funds for a project that captivates their interest; and then apply to the Foundation for a matching grant. Examples of this include putting in a park bench, helping a library or community center, raising money for food bank needs, fuel assistance, and other local projects that can strengthen a community.

In addition to supporting Masonic families through the BROTHERHOOD RELIEF GRANTS, the MCF funds many other national charities by making donations through a Relief Chest Scheme. This is a very fast-moving charity where Freemasons can make immediate donations to help those in need due to emergencies such as natural disasters, fires or other tragic events.
The Foundation also supports Masonicicare’s residents and patients through the Annual Appeal. This is a very important fundraising effort for the Foundation and it enables the foundation to bridge gaps in funding from declining government reimbursement as well as fund programs that can’t be supported through other sources. For example, outdoor summer concerts, music during spiritual care services, medication organizers and CNA accompaniment to doctors’ appointments are some of the things that have been funded through this campaign.
